Flood warnings: Orange code in 8 counties, Yellow code in 22

The National Institute of Hydrology and Water Management has issued an orange flood warning for rivers in eight counties, valid from Saturday, 6:00 PM, until Sunday, 12:00 PM. The affected counties include Gorj, Sibiu, Vâlcea, Argeș, and Teleorman, with specifications for the hydrographic basins of Gilort, Olt, Olteț, Vedea, Argeș, and Neajlov.

Additionally, a yellow warning has been established for 22 counties, from May 16, 2:00 PM - May 17, 6:00 PM, covering rivers from the Crișul Alb, Mureș, Timiș, Caraș, Nera, Cerna, Danube, Jiu basins, and others.

Authorities recommend caution and monitoring of the hydrological situation in the affected areas to prevent potential damage.
