The National Institute of Hydrology has updated the hydrological warnings, issuing Code Orange for floods in Suceava, Harghita and Neamț counties, as well as in Caras-Severin, Timis and Mehedinți. A Code Yellow is also in force for river sections in 24 counties, including Hunedoara and Arad. Hydrologists warn of the risks of major floods and flash floods, advising the population to avoid at-risk areas and be prepared for possible evacuations.
