On the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, five people died as a result of two serious road accidents. The first accident occurred on DN 61, outside the locality of Corbii Mari, where a 20-year-old man, without a driving license, hit three pedestrians, after which he overturned with the car. The Dâmbovița County Police Inspectorate confirmed that the young man did not hold a license for any category of vehicles.
The second accident took place on Tuesday evening in the center of Brașov, when a driver drove into a group of pedestrians, resulting in the death of himself, a 23-year-old passenger, and three other pedestrians aged between 24 and 49 years. Upon the arrival of the intervention teams, two of the victims were already deceased, and the other three died despite medical efforts.
The police continue investigations to establish the exact circumstances of both accidents, having opened criminal cases for manslaughter and driving a vehicle without a license.
