Firefighter found shot in the IGSU unit in Mizil, investigation underway

On Friday, a 44-year-old firefighter was found dead, shot, in a unit of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) in the city of Mizil, Prahova County.

The incident occurred while performing service duties, and the exact circumstances are to be established through an investigation conducted by the competent military prosecutor, with the support of the police officers from the Prahova County Police Inspectorate. The deceased man was a firefighter non-commissioned officer, and the incident took place in an IGSU warehouse.
