On Saturday evening, a fire broke out in the basement of the Alba Iulia County Emergency Hospital, prompting the activation of the Red Intervention Plan by ISU Alba. Three fire-fighting vehicles, a ladder truck, a rescue team, and a medical first aid vehicle were dispatched to the scene.

The fire was caused by smoke emitted from a neon light in a box, but it was not necessary to evacuate patients from the hospital. At the time of writing, the Red Plan had been deactivated, and firefighters continued their efforts to contain and extinguish the fire.
