The fire affected the building of the "Prof. Dr. Dimitrie Gerota" Emergency Hospital in Bucharest, with the roof of a wing under renovation being engulfed in flames. Firefighters used eight fire engines equipped with water and foam and a fire engine to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to neighboring buildings. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries.
