The explosion in a house in Dej led to the death of a man approximately 50 years old. Firefighters continue the search and rescue mission.

The explosion occurred on Mihai Viteazu Street in Dej, Cluj County, causing a fire and the total destruction of the building. At the scene, authorities found a man around 50 years old, recovered from the rubble, who showed no vital signs and was declared dead. Another victim required assistance to be rescued from the ruins. Firefighters mobilized three fire engines, a multi-risk container, two SMURD ambulances, and a SAJ crew with a doctor to carry out the search and rescue mission, which is still ongoing. ISU Cluj confirmed that the building was completely compromised by the explosion.
