A serious accident occurred on DN2B, at the exit from Ianca, where two spouses died after their car was hit by another vehicle.

A tragic accident occurred on DN2B, at the exit from the town of Ianca, Braila County. A 55-year-old man, who was returning from Braila to Ianca, attempted to overtake the vehicles in front of him, with his 54-year-old wife beside him.

As a result of the maneuver, he violently collided with a car driven by a 39-year-old woman from Bucharest, who was traveling with her three children, aged 4, 7, and 9. Unfortunately, the two spouses died as a result of the impact, while the driver and the children were injured and transported to the hospital. The police conducted breathalyzer tests, with negative results for the driver. The authorities continue their investigations to establish the circumstances of the accident, and a criminal case has been opened for manslaughter and bodily harm through negligence. Traffic on DN2B is blocked, and drivers are being diverted to alternative routes.
