On December 13, 2025, the Police of the Republic of Moldova was alerted about a possible bombing of a train on the Bucharest–Kiev route, at the Vălcineț customs, at the border with Ukraine. The authorities immediately activated the emergency protocol, mobilizing specialists from the technical-explosive section and the canine department.


Following the checks, the alert was confirmed to be false, with no suspicious or explosive objects discovered. The initial information was received from a board attendant, who was notified by Ukrzaliznytsia about a call to the hotline regarding the bombing of train number 100. The Border Police emphasized that they take such reports seriously and will inform the public as new information arises.
