The general mayor Ciprian Ciucu obtained, on Friday, the approval of the general councilors to initiate an external audit at the Bucharest Transport Company (STB) and at C.M. Termoenergetica Bucharest.

This measure comes in the context of the debts accumulated by the two companies, which threaten their operation and, implicitly, the services offered to Bucharest residents. The Capital City Hall covers a large part of the expenses of these companies, and the debts to ANAF are alarming, with STB having a debt of 1.4 billion lei.

The audit will evaluate the financial situations and identify the sources of losses, with the aim of finding effective solutions to remedy the financial problems and ensure the optimal functioning of public services.
