Explosion followed by fire in an apartment in Timișoara. A man was taken to the hospital with burns.

On Saturday, November 1, 2025, an explosion followed by a fire occurred in a ground-floor apartment of a building on Cerna Street in Timișoara. Approximately 60 people self-evacuated from the building, and a man suffered first and second-degree burns on 30-40% of his body. The victim was urgently transported to the hospital, being conscious and cooperative. Firefighters from the Timișoara Fire Department 1 intervened on the scene, using two fire trucks, a mechanical ladder, and three SMURD teams, one of which included a doctor. The incident was quickly managed by the intervention teams.
