An explosion occurred this morning at a wood products factory in Brașov, causing a significant fire in one of the unit's halls. According to information provided by ISU Brașov, the fire manifested with open flames and caused large smoke emissions, especially at the level of a sawdust conveyor. As a result of the seriousness of the situation, the authorities activated the Red Intervention Plan at the level of Brașov County.

UPDATE 9:09 - "Shortly after, during the intervention, a new explosion occurred at another conveyor belt within the economic operator's premises. To manage the situation, the intervention device of ISU Brașov was supplemented with 2 fire-fighting vehicles and a robot transport vehicle," ISU Brașov stated.

At the scene, 6 fire-fighting vehicles, 1 CBRN vehicle, 2 intervention and rescue vehicles from heights, as well as SMURD first aid teams, including a mobile intensive care unit and 2 ambulances from the County Ambulance Service, were mobilized.
