The Timiș Public Health Directorate has launched an investigation at the Jebel Psychiatric Hospital, where three patients have been diagnosed with scabies. The patients are isolated and receiving treatment.

The Public Health Directorate (DSP) Timiș has started an epidemiological investigation at the Psychiatric Hospital in Jebel, after three hospitalized patients were confirmed with scabies on December 30, 2025. The hospital manager, Marius-Ciprian Olaru, confirmed that DSP is in control of the healthcare unit.

The spokesperson for DSP Timiș, Cornelia Bubatu, mentioned that the patients have been isolated and are following the treatment prescribed by the dermatologist. DSP has formed a mixed control team to verify the situation and apply measures if necessary. The investigation aims to ensure the health of the patients and prevent the spread of the infection.
