The company E.ON Energie Romania has issued a warning regarding a phishing campaign targeting its customers. The false messages, with the subject 'Unpaid Invoice', claim that recipients have outstanding payments and urge them to make payments through a fraudulent link. The company emphasizes that these messages are not sent by E.ON and do not represent official communications.

The National Cyber Security Directorate (DNSC) has already reported this fraud attempt. E.ON recommends that customers do not access suspicious links and always check their invoice status through official channels. Additionally, users are advised to be cautious of the sender's address and not to open attached files from suspicious messages.

In case they have provided personal information, it is recommended to change their passwords and contact the bank to check for any unauthorized transactions. E.ON is collaborating with authorities to limit the effects of these fraud attempts.
