Officials from the Alba Environmental Guard confirmed that, following the explosion at the Kronochem factory, the air quality in Sebeș has not been affected in the long term, and the smoke cloud was dispersed by the wind towards Alba Iulia. The factory risks a fine between 50,000 and 100,000 lei for failing to implement preventive measures. Additionally, four people were injured in the incident, and the Alba Police have opened a criminal case for bodily harm through negligence. Authorities continue to monitor the air and investigate possible chemicals involved.
