The intervention forces are acting for the evacuation of water and the removal of trees in 24 localities affected by floods in Buzău, Dâmbovița, Ialomița, Ilfov, Prahova, and Bucharest.

Severe hydrometeorological phenomena affected, on Wednesday, between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, 24 localities in the counties of Buzău, Dâmbovița, Ialomița, Ilfov, and Prahova, as well as the municipality of Bucharest, according to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU).

Intervention forces were mobilized for the evacuation of water from 106 houses, 50 yards, 12 basements, and four economic agents, as well as for the removal of construction elements and 14 fallen trees. In the locality of Pleașa, a building with 20 studios was flooded, and ten people, including a minor, were evacuated and relocated to a dormitory in the commune of Bucov. Another ten nearby homes were affected, and two people were relocated. Authorities continue to monitor the situation and recommend citizens to avoid traveling in the affected areas and to follow official information.
