Elena Udrea's six-year prison sentence has been reduced after the Ploiești Court of Appeal rejected the Public Prosecutor's appeal. This comes after a previous eight-month reduction. Udrea, who is incarcerated in Târgșor Penitentiary, was convicted in the Gala Bute case, where she is accused of orchestrating a fraudulent scheme to obtain funds. The court decision paves the way for a possible conditional release.
