The Prahova Court has upheld Elena Udrea's appeal, reducing her 6-year sentence by 8 months, due to the periods of previous arrest served. Udrea, incarcerated in Târgșor Penitentiary since June 2022, asked for a speedy resolution in order to be eligible for parole. Convicted in the "Gala Bute" case, Udrea was accused of corruption, with damages estimated at €3 million. The court's decision is not final and can be appealed.
