Elena Lasconi, former USR leader, asks President Nicușor Dan to take responsibility for his decisions.

The former candidate for the presidential elections, Elena Lasoni, told President Nicușor Dan on Saturday to "take responsibility for his own decisions," otherwise he could be "the first president impeached in the history of the country."

"I have watched in silence, but sometimes silences scream and hurt. How hard is it to take responsibility for your own decisions? How hard is it to stand in front of people and say: 'I was stupid, I was wrong'?" Elena Lasconi wrote on her Facebook page. Lasconi emphasized the difficulty for the leader at Cotroceni to acknowledge mistakes and criticized the president's lack of sincerity and humanity.

She stated that Romanians are willing to forgive, but it is essential for Nicușor Dan to be honest and to use the available resources to correct the errors. Lasconi stressed that dignity, empathy, and honesty are needed at Cotroceni, not just a distancing from the people.
