ELCEN has signed a contract worth 29,129,291.79 lei for consultancy services for the construction of a new cogeneration unit at CET Bucharest South, essential for the modernization of heat and electricity production in Bucharest. This unit, with a capacity of 275 MWe and 214 MWt, will replace the old installations, reducing CO₂ emissions and improving energy efficiency. The project is part of a wider plan to revitalize generation capacity, supported by the Ministry of Energy.
