The trade unions in Education are asking political parties not to vote for the new salary law project, which was recently presented by the interim Minister of Labor, Dragoș Pîslaru.
Trade unionists categorically reject this variant, arguing that its adoption would represent a betrayal of the Romanian school and a lack of respect for teaching staff. The project proposes a new salary grid, with lower coefficients and a reduced reference value from 4,100 to 4,000 lei.
Union representatives emphasize that parliamentarians have the duty to reject this law, which does not address existing inequities and deepens the salary differences between education and other fields. They call for an honorable decision from the legislature, considering the impact on future generations.
