The Minister of Education, Daniel David, stated that the third package of fiscal reforms will not have an impact on the education sector, emphasizing that the budgetary correction measures have already been applied in the first package. He explained that the exception for education does not represent a privilege, but rather an acknowledgment of the efforts made to stabilize the educational system.

David mentioned that, in the university environment, staff reductions cannot be made due to the shortage of human resources, and the involvement of retired teachers is essential for covering teaching norms. He also emphasized that the prohibition of combining pension and salary is not an option, considering the necessity of retired teachers in the educational system, including in higher education.
