In July 2025, 149,204 people received child benefit, down 1.36% from the previous month. Total amounts paid amounted to RON 542.516 million, while the average amount increased to RON 3,636.07. Bucharest had the highest number of beneficiaries, while the highest average allowances were recorded in the capital and in Cluj and Ilfov counties. The allowance is regulated by GEO no. 111/2010 and is based on the parents' income in the last two years.
