A 30-year-old woman from Alba Iulia was fined by the police with a fine of 1,822.5 lei for driving on the A1 Râmnicu Vâlcea-Deva highway with a car equipped with summer tires, ignoring the regulations that require the use of winter tires in winter conditions. The incident occurred on January 8, when the police stopped her for a traffic check.

In addition to the fine, the authorities retained the vehicle's registration certificate, issuing a temporary replacement without the right to circulate. The police remind that non-compliance with the regulations regarding the equipment with winter tires is an offense, punishable by fines between 1,822.5 and 4,050 lei, as well as the withdrawal of the registration certificate.
