Dragos Pislaru, the Minister of Labor, criticized the decision of the education trade unions not to participate in the meetings organized to analyze the new salary law. He emphasized that the meeting was not intended for negotiations, but for preparing political discussions with the Presidential Administration.
Pislaru mentioned that the Ministry of Labor has a technical role, providing the secretariat for the consultations and receiving requests from the system. In recent days, meetings have taken place with representatives of the parties to discuss the initiation of a new legislative project.
Pislaru expressed dismay at the unions' refusal, considering that it contributes to increasing tensions and violates the principles of social dialogue. He announced that the unions will be invited again for discussions next week, emphasizing the importance of dialogue in a democracy.
