The proposed bill by Diana Buzoianu aims to amend the Penal Code to introduce the crime of forced marriage/cohabitation, punishable by imprisonment from 3 to 7 years. This applies in cases of coercion, deception, or abuse of authority. Additionally, it also penalizes the enticing of individuals with the purpose of forcing them to marry. The bill also includes measures for informing the public through the media to warn about these crimes.
