The cardiologist Ovidiu Mitu from the 'Sfântul Spiridon' Hospital in Iași has been sent to trial by prosecutors for bribery, being accused of accepting amounts of 200 lei and 100 lei from two patients. The incident occurred at the end of 2022, in his office at the hospital.

The Prosecutor's Office next to the Iași Tribunal announced the completion of the investigation, and the case will be tried at the Iași Tribunal.
