A doctor from Craiova is under criminal investigation for human trafficking, being suspected of exploiting a vulnerable woman with health and family issues.

According to prosecutors from DIICOT, in September 2023, he recruited and sheltered her, forcing her to perform cleaning services both in his home and in the homes of his family members, as well as in various locations for events.

Following these accusations, police and prosecutors conducted two home searches. The hearings are taking place at the DIICOT Craiova headquarters, and the case continues to be investigated.
