The DNA prosecutors conducted major searches at the central headquarters of Electrocentrale București (ELCEN), as well as at the homes of some individuals and at the workplaces of some companies. These actions target acts of bribery and corruption from the year 2025. According to G4Media, which cites judicial sources, the general director Claudiu Crețu (photo) and the commercial director are targeted. ELCEN, the main supplier of heating in Bucharest, stated that the prosecutors' requests do not affect the continuity of operations and reaffirmed its commitment to comply with the law.
