According to DIICOT, an investigation targets the establishment of an organized criminal group that has conducted high-risk drug trafficking and psychoactive substances in Bucharest, starting from the autumn of 2025.

The group, consisting of over 30 members, operated in nightclubs, selling ecstasy, cocaine, and crystalline substances. The members of the group had well-defined roles and operated in a conspiratorial manner, dividing areas of action and using conventional gestures for discreet transactions. Additionally, the group used social networks to attract clients and to signal their presence at events.

During the investigations, quantities of drugs sold in clubs, cafes, and at private events were confiscated. DIICOT emphasized that the group specifically targeted young people with above-average financial status, vulnerable to drug consumption. At the time of the intervention, the group members were preparing to distribute drugs for upcoming festivals.

Hearings are taking place at the DIICOT headquarters – Central Structure.
