DIICOT prosecutors have detained five individuals accused of forming an organized criminal group specialized in the sale of risk drugs and psychoactive substances in Bucharest.

The leader of the group, a 24-year-old man, coordinated the activity by renting short-term properties that operated as "stores" for drugs, and through home deliveries for loyal customers. Following the investigations, DIICOT detained five individuals, two of whom are family members accused of trafficking high-risk drugs. The group has been active since January, having established trust relationships among consumers. The leader used online applications to communicate with customers, setting the operating schedule and prices. In large-scale transactions, the leader was accompanied by a bodyguard. Three of the defendants were placed in preventive detention, while the other two were placed under house arrest.
