Member of the European Parliament Diana Șoșoacă broadcasted live on Facebook from Red Square in Moscow on Saturday, presenting Russia as an example of efficiency, order, and freedom. She praised the speed with which the Russians repair infrastructure and the beauty of the city, stating that many Europeans desire Russian citizenship due to the absence of woke politics.

These statements are in contradiction with reality, as Russia is classified as an authoritarian regime with severely restricted political freedoms. Additionally, the live broadcast was transmitted on a platform blocked in Russia, where Facebook and Instagram are banned. Șoșoacă spoke about a so-called free market, ignoring international sanctions and state control over the economy. Furthermore, the Russian regime continues to suppress opposition, and criticism of the war can lead to imprisonment.

This is not the first time Diana Șoșoacă has expressed her support for Russia, holding a controversial position in the European Parliament, where she voted against condemning Russia's provocative actions.
