On Saturday morning, all residents of a three-story building in Bistrița were forced to leave their homes due to a fire that broke out in the roof area.

The flames engulfed the upper part of the building, manifesting with large smoke emissions. Five fire crews, one SMURD crew, and two ambulances intervened at the scene. The fire spread over an area of approximately 300 square meters under the metal covering of the roof. About 25 people self-evacuated, and one person was rescued from the roof by firefighters.

One of the firefighters suffered an injury to his hand and was transported to the hospital for care. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the authorities.
