A car workshop in Decebal, Satu Mare, was engulfed in flames due to a thrown cigarette. Firefighters intervened with difficulty.

On Sunday morning, a fire broke out at a car workshop in the town of Decebal, Satu Mare, caused by a cigarette thrown carelessly. The firefighters' intervention was complicated by the strong wind, which favored the rapid spread of the flames, posing a risk that the fire could extend to nearby homes.

The 'Someș' Satu Mare Emergency Situations Inspectorate mobilized three fire trucks with water and foam, as well as a ladder truck, managing to contain and extinguish the fire in a timely manner. Approximately 100 square meters inside the workshop burned, also affecting the combustible materials stored. Firefighters determined that the fire was caused by a lit cigarette thrown carelessly.
