A fire that broke out on Sunday, May 3, 2026, completely destroyed a cabin in Sibiu County, located between the localities of Jina and Dobra. At the time of the incident, there were 14 people inside, who managed to evacuate on their own without needing medical assistance, according to ISU Sibiu. Emergency firefighters intervened on site with three fire trucks, a water tanker, two SMURD teams, and a team from the Jina Volunteer Emergency Service. The cabin, with an area of approximately 40 square meters, was entirely consumed by flames. The probable cause of the fire was the thermal effect generated by an improperly isolated smoke pipe. Despite the significant material damage, the rapid intervention of the teams ensured that the incident did not result in any casualties.
