In a Facebook post, USR senator Cynthia Păun criticized the messages displayed in public spaces regarding types of childbirth, considering them lacking context and respect towards women. Păun, who has given birth twice via cesarean section, emphasized that the decision was made together with her doctor and was not an easy choice. She stated that childbirth cannot be reduced to slogans and that for many women, cesarean section is a necessary intervention, not a convenient choice. The senator called on the authorities to intervene and enforce the law, warning that such messages can influence the decisions of individuals in a vulnerable moment. Păun highlighted that the responsibility of communication in public spaces is not optional and that women need accurate information and support in their decisions.
