The head of DNA Iași, Cristina Chiriac, proposed by Minister Radu Marinescu for the position of general prosecutor, received a negative opinion from the Prosecutors' Section of the CSM, while at the head of DNA, Marius Voineag, a candidate for a deputy position at the General Prosecutor's Office, faced a voting blockage.

Following the vote, only the minister supported Chiriac's appointment, while five members voted against. Additionally, in the case of Marius Voineag, the head of DNA, who aspired to a deputy position at the General Prosecutor's Office, a voting blockage was recorded.

The opinion for Marius Voineag was postponed for a future meeting, due to a tie in votes.

"The Prosecutors' Section, considering the provisions of art. 62 para. 3 related to art. 17 para. 2 of the Regulation on the organization and functioning of the Superior Council of Magistracy, adopted by Decision no. 122 of 06.07.2023 of the Plenary of the Superior Council of Magistracy, decided to include the point regarding the opinion on the proposal of the Minister of Justice for the appointment to the position of deputy general prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office next to the High Court of Cassation and Justice of Mr. MARIUS-IONUȚ VOINEAG, prosecutor within the National Anticorruption Directorate, on the agenda of a future meeting. (3 votes in favor, 3 votes against)," CSM reports.

The Prosecutors' Section of the CSM consists of six members: five elected prosecutors and one ex officio member, the PSD Minister of Justice, Radu Marinescu.
