Codrin Horațiu Miron, current head of the Timișoara Territorial Service of DIICOT, gave an interview for the position of chief prosecutor of DIICOT, highlighting the problems of the institution, such as institutional isolation and lack of effective communication. Miron proposed a "total offensive" against drugs, focusing on preventing drug use and trafficking, especially at festivals.

He emphasized the importance of closing trafficking corridors, mentioning the Port of Constanța as a major hub for drugs. He also suggested establishing a drug office in Timișoara to strengthen efforts against organized crime. Other candidates for the position of chief prosecutor include Ioana-Bogdana Albani, Alina Albu, and Antonia Diaconu, while Bogdan Ciprian Pîrlog has withdrawn from the competition.
