The National Audiovisual Council (CNA) has decided to withdraw the broadcasting license for the television station Realitatea Plus, owned by businessman Maricel Păcuraru, due to the non-payment of 28 fines from 2024, totaling 605,000 lei. The decision was made during a meeting that also included representatives of the TV station, who tried to find solutions to avoid closure.
The request to postpone the decision did not receive enough votes to be approved. The Vice President of the CNA, Valentin Jucan, proposed the withdrawal of the license, and the proposal was unanimously voted by the present members.
Georgică Severin and Lucian Dindirică withdrew from the vote. This decision marks an important moment in the Romanian media landscape, considering the impact it may have on the audience and the employees of the station. The news is being updated.
