CNA decided to suspend the Realitatea Plus broadcast for 3 hours on February 19, due to violations of audiovisual legislation.

The National Audiovisual Council (CNA) imposed a severe sanction on Realitatea Plus television, owned by the Păcuraru family, by suspending its broadcast for three hours on February 19, between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM. This decision was made following repeated violations of audiovisual legislation, identified during the period of November 1-21, 2025, before the electoral campaign for the Capital City Mayor.

Mircea Toma, a CNA member, emphasized that the station's broadcasts did not meet the standards of impartial journalism. The sanction was voted on by the majority of CNA members, with the exception of two, proposed by PSD. In November, Realitatea Plus was the second most-watched news television, but it recorded a significant drop in audience, being surpassed by Romania TV.
