The National Audiovisual Council (CNA) decided on Tuesday to request the TikTok platform to remove 90 videos related to the subject of 'Black Ambulance' or 'Black Rescue'.
This decision was made following the analysis of a monitoring report conducted by the Control Directorate, which identified 57 self-reported links and 33 additional links on the same topic. In the same meeting, the CNA analyzed a material posted on Facebook that contained a fragment from an interview with President Maia Sandu, considering that it violates legal provisions regarding the objective information of the public.
Additionally, in the context of the panic generated by false information, two men and a woman were placed in preventive detention for the attack on an ambulance in Cluj, with the woman being accused of assault. Prosecutors suspect that the attackers acted based on false information from TikTok, which claimed that ambulances were stealing children. The CNA emphasizes the importance of ensuring accurate information for the public.
