Ciucu: I am trying to save STB, I am not the one who brought the company into this situation

The general mayor of the Capital, Ciprian Ciucu, states that he does not wish for STB insolvency, but is trying to save the company through a restructuring plan validated by a judge-syndic.

He claims that he requested a plan of measures from the management and unions as early as February, but without results, and the accumulation of debts and the risk of account seizures impose urgent measures for salary payments and the continuation of activities. Ciucu emphasizes that he did not bring the company into this situation and that he is trying to avoid the city's insolvency.

For his part, MEP Vlad Voiculescu states that if STB is in insolvency, the management has a legal obligation to request the opening of proceedings and argues that the company has not been managed alone, recalling that since 2021, PNL Bucharest has had the majority in the management structures of STB.

He believes that the recovery measures must be accompanied by accountability from those who managed the company and by the publication of votes from the Board of Administration and the General Assembly.
