On the Facebook account of President Nicușor Dan, the last post was made on Tuesday evening, coinciding with the launch of the Recorder documentary 'Captured Justice', which quickly gathered 350,000 views. In the comments, dozens of people are asking Dan to watch the material and to take action regarding the issues in justice. Although Dan discussed a meeting with representatives of companies in the defense sector, he did not address the topic of justice, which sparked citizens' discontent. They convey to him that any action is useless without a functional justice system and demand urgent measures, including resignations and criminal charges for those responsible.

The Recorder documentary highlighted issues in justice, including the prolongation of cases and the cohabitation of some magistrates with politicians. Interviews with former heads of the DNA and other magistrates underline the deterioration of the justice system, and a representative of the prosecutors stated that the exaggerated interpretation of the law leads to the annulment of evidence, severely affecting citizens' trust in justice.
