The general mayor of the Capital, Ciprian Ciucu, arrived at the headquarters of the National Anti-Corruption Directorate (DNA) in Bucharest to be heard, said that he "knows nothing" when asked about the capacity in which he was summoned.
According to judicial sources cited in the press, Ciucu was summoned to be informed that he has the status of a suspect in a bribery case. It is suspected that he received a bribe to issue a permit during the time he was the mayor of Sector 6.

"I know nothing," said Ciucu upon arriving at DNA regarding the accusations against him.
Furthermore, Ciprian Ciucu is the first vice-president of the National Liberal Party, which adds a political dimension to his situation.
