The Chemical Fertilizer Plant Năvodari (CICh) has completed the update of the Integrated Environmental Authorization, issued by the Environmental Protection Agency, to expand the production capacities of nitrogenous products.

Starting in 2026, the company will implement an investment plan focused on developing innovative technological solutions for agriculture, especially for special crops such as viticulture, fruit growing, and vegetable growing.

The objectives include optimizing nutrient absorption and increasing resistance to abiotic stress, as well as digitizing processes and streamlining cost management. CICh also aims to strengthen local production and support partnerships with farmers, expanding its product portfolio, which already includes the Nutri-Top, N-Guard ranges, and others. Currently, Romania no longer has major producers of nitrogenous fertilizers, following the closure of Azomureș.
