From September 2, most non-immigrant visa applicants will be required to attend an in-person interview, including children under 14 and people over 79. Only certain categories, such as those with diplomatic visas or those renewing their B-1, B-2 visas, will be exempt from the interview, provided they meet specific criteria. A new "visa integrity fee" of at least $250 will also be introduced. These measures are part of the Trump administration's policy to curb illegal immigration.
