Romania's Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIR) is calling on Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan to draw up an urgent package of economic measures in the context of VAT and price hikes that may reduce consumption. Proposed measures include attracting foreign investment, prioritizing projects with European funds and support for SMEs. The CCIR warns that delays in approving opinions are a drag on the economy and stresses the need for structural reforms and budget spending cuts to avoid recession.
