CFR SA has announced the temporary suspension of the operation of several trains operated by CFR Călători, starting from October 21, 2025, due to unpaid debts of over 100 million lei. This decision affects dozens of Regio and InterRegio trains across the country. The company specified that the measures are temporary and operations will resume as soon as the arrears are fully paid. Among the suspended trains are routes from Bacău, Suceava, Bucharest, Timișoara, Bistrița, and others, with clear specifications regarding the affected routes. InterRegio trains will be suspended starting from November 7, 2025, until further notice.
