CFR Călători has announced that, as a result of the VAT rate increase, ticket prices will be increased starting August 1. The increases will vary up to 3 lei for second class and 4.5 lei for first class, especially on long routes. The measure aims to help balance the economic activity of Romanian rail operators. The updated tariffs apply to all six rail operators, including CFR Călători.
