Ana Maria Yasmin Dalbuzi, administrator of a nursing home in Voluntari, has entered into a plea agreement with DNA prosecutors, accepting charges of abuse of office, embezzlement, and use of false documents. She used false documents to obtain the operating license, under conditions where the elderly did not receive the necessary care, the food was insufficient, and the medication was administered by unqualified staff. During an inspection, she moved the beneficiaries to a hotel and kept them away from social inspectors. During the time the center remained open, she obtained an undue benefit of 293,327.63 lei. The defendant accepted a sentence of 3 years in prison with suspension and agreed to perform unpaid work for the benefit of the community. The case has been sent to the Ilfov Tribunal for trial.
